Architect  Daniel Libeskind  went small scale for a new design recently unvelied during Milan Design Week. Designed for  Alessi , the  Time Maze  clock proves that time is neither linear or circular, but rather a maze of “abstract connections and playful interactions.” Built from stainless steel, the clock represents Libeskind’s ongoing interest in time as seen referenced in some of his most famous works, like the Jewish Museum Berlin. The clock clearly portrays Libeskind’s architectural style, with disjointed lines, openings, and broken surfaces.

Image courtesy of Karim Rashid Unveiled at the ‘mix it up’ event during Milan design week 2016, Pepsico asked Karim Rashid to shape new ‘pepsi premium’ bottles that elevate the beverage company to a whole new level. the collaboration developed a sleek alumnium form and complementary barware accessories – an ice bucket, bottle opener, deluxe display packaging and aperitif tray. the bottles were presented in a tall installation also designed by Karim Rashid. We think this new chair is a design masterpiece. Coalesse and Michael Young joined forces to design an ultra-lightweight chair made entirely of carbon fiber, which happens to be one of the strongest materials on the market today. The sleek chair is named LessThanFive after the fact that it weighs less than five pounds and it’s minimalist design allows for stacking up to four high for easy storage. The chair is designed for a variety of uses and comes in six standard finishes: Carbon Weave, Copper Gloss, Blue Matte, Light Fade Matte, Dark Fade Matte, and Red Fade Gloss. You can even customize the finish if you’d prefer.
